Siam2nite had the opportunity to have an exclusive interview with Ronski Speed, shortly before his performance at NARZ Bangkok on Friday 30th August.

Your tracks were several times already "Tune of The Week" on Armin van Buuren‘s A State Of Trance (ASOT) radio show. How would you describe your music in just a few words?

Emotional Progressive Trance.

In 2013 you have released some highly successful tracks, such as “Pink Skye” and “Rise Again”. Out of all tracks you have made, which would you recommend to those that are not yet familiar with your music?

My latest single “Rise Again” featuring the beautiful Lucy Saunders on Vocals. It’s rising high at the moment in the charts and got massive support from Armin Van Buuren (3 plays in a row at ASOT), Markus schulz, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Andy Moor and many many others.

Your debut album “Pure Devotion” was released in 2008. Will you release a new album in the near future or what are you currently working on?

Yes, the new album will be out on 23.August 2013 with a lot of new stuff and already known collaborations like with Emma Hewitt, Ana Criado, Renee Stahl, Sue McLaren to name a few.

You have played in over 80 countries of the world on all 5 continents. What was the best and the worst gig you ever played and what was the funniest thing ever occurred during any of your performances?

The worst was maybe when I got into a Police Border Control in Russia. I had to spend a whole night in a Russian Police Station.
The gigs in Bangkok are definitely always Highlights on my way around the globe. Very good crowd and club.

What essential things you need to have with you at all times when you’re on tour?

I always need my Laptop for Music and Entertainment. Having my favorite new Movies and TV Series with me. As well another essential tool is my Samsung Galaxy. Who can live without his mobile?

Which are your top three tracks of the moment?

My Own “Rise Again” Ronski Speed ft. Lucy Saunders
DNS Project – Terra
Delerium – Chrystalis Heart

You have been to Thailand several times already. Did you ever have time to spend quality time in Thailand or were your visits limited to performing? Are you excited to return to Bangkok? Do you enjoy Thai food?

Oh yes, always trying to extend my stay. Last time I could go a little bit of sightseeing and shopping in Bangkok. The lovely people from the promotion team and the club helped me a lot. Looking forward to be back so soon.

What can Bangkok expect of your performance at NARZ Bangkok on 30th August 2013?

I would say again an energetic set of mine and a fabulous crowd. As well a lot of new stuff from my new Album “Second World”.
