Half a year had already gone by since the lively New Years celebrations in Bangkok. Many things had happened over the past 6 months, including the openings of brand-new hangout spots around town. We’ve recently updated you on the 20 new restaurants, bars, and clubs that opened its doors at the beginning of the year (January - March). Since then, we continued to search for more businesses that had officially opened in the 2nd quarter of 2018 so you and your friends can switch things up on the next hangout session.

If you’re looking for a nice cozy spot for a romantic dinner date, look no further. The Bar Upstairs has over 150 different types of wines from around the globe within its walls. You can either take the bottles back to enjoy at home, or pair them up with the comfort food menus, such as cheese, cold cuts, salads, and pasta, straight from Brasserie Cordonnier’s kitchen and have a wonderful night out. This wine bar was made with the concept of an abandoned garden home in southern France in mind. That’s why the interior is decorated with wooden furniture and covered from head to toe with the green color of climbers and wall shrubs, giving off a raw and rustic vibe. The cocktail menu, inspired by all greenery of the gardens, allows you to also pick your own ingredients to create your own unique concoction.

If you want to find your way inside this secret speakeasy bar, you have to first locate a photobooth. We'll give you a hint; it's located inside a huge sports bar called Score Bar. After you're done with your photo session in the booth, you'll find a gimmicky darkroom filled with black and white photography and film washing equipment. After a short walk through the hallway, you'll find the bar entrance. The cool-looking, dark brown interior is mostly dressed in leather furniture and velvet. As it is a full-service cocktail bar, you'll be sure to find classic cocktails as well as unique creative cocktails on the menu.

The global sports bar and American fast food brand had recently opened its 3rd location in Bangkok (6th in Thailand). Hooters is well-known for its “Hooter Girls”, a team of beautiful and friendly service staffs dressed in the iconic uniform of orange Hooters t-shirts and white shorts. The food menu mostly consists of snacks such as Chicken Wings, Nachos, Calamari, Sandwiches, and French Fries, while the drinks menu encompasses everything from champagnes to beers all the way to non-alcoholic beverages. If you’re a fan of live sports and looking for a nice place to watch your matches live, you can add Hooters to your shortlist since they’ve got over 10 TV screens set up specifically for the sports fans to enjoy.

The Club @ Koi takes the space that was once occupied by CÉ LA VI Bangkok with the intention to become the “highest” nightlife hot-spot of Bangkok. Ran by the same management team as the Californian-Japanese restaurant Koi, The Club at Koi brings an international flare to the clubbing scene high above the clouds. Other than the more sophisticated and luxurious interior design and decorations, the clear glass windows make the best us of the beautiful Bangkok skyline at night. Where Is My Beer? completely transformed a two-story house into a cozy white-brown house bar that perfectly combines the rustic interior design with the laid back country-side vibe. Much like going to a friend’s house somewhere up north in Chiang Rai, this is the place to be if you feel like taking time off from the hectic work life. Being the first “Beer Cocktail Bar” in Bangkok, you’ll find all sorts of “Beertails” made using the bar’s very own craft beers as the base. Bad Burger recently opened its very own craft beer bar right next door for the fans to enjoy quality beers with their premium burgers. Maintaining the same sociable atmosphere with bare cement walls and wooden furniture, Witch Craft presented a wide selection of affordable craft beers, both on tap and bottled, that rotates now and then. You’ll also find interesting promotions such as Buy 2 Get 1 Free on Wednesdays or the “999 THB 2-Hours Free Flow” now and then. The secret cocktail bar "Ku Bar", one of Asia's 50 Best Bars in 2018, recently opened a small wine bar called Kangkao (means "Bat" in Thai) on the 2nd floor of the establishment. Aside from the minimalistic design and decoration, you'll be impressed with the long bar facing out the glass window overlooking the nightly charm of Bangkok's Old Town. You'll find all sorts of wine here, whether it'd be organic or natural, and the list changes from time to time. Be sure to grab some nice bar bites to pair with your glass of wine like the Grilled Pork Ears (240 THB).

This rooftop venue isn't your usual late-night speakeasy bar, but rather a cozy spot to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine during the day. Other than traditional Thai sweets such as Kanom Krok, Thong Muan, and Krong Krang, this place also serves popular Thai dishes such as Pad Thai, Fried Sun-dried Meats, and Spicy Salad with Fermented Pork and Rice Croquettes made only with fresh ingredients and no MSG.
