‘Ultra Violet(18-3838)’ has been announced by PANTONE as “Color of the Year 2018” on December 2017. The institute said that the color is a “dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade that communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.” They also describe Ultra Violet as “complex and contemplative” and that it “symbolizes experimentation and non-conformity, spurring individuals to imagine their unique mark on the world, and push boundaries through creative outlets.”
Every year, PANTONE’s Color of the Year announcement sends ripples throughout the fashion industry worldwide as it isn’t just a trend suggestion, but a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.
