Talad Neon - Bangkok's New Downtown Night Market
Talad Neon is a new downtown night market in Pratunam, with a distinct colorful decoration of neon lamps. It was opened in early December 2016 and is owned by The Platinum Group.
The market is a picturesque place to take a stroll with friends, catch something to eat or grab a drink after work, centrally located next to Palladium Shopping Mall, between Phetchaburi Road Soi 23 and 29. The nearest BTS station is Chit Lom.
The market accommodates up to 900 shops, stretching over an area of 10 rais (16,000 sqm). The market is divided in different zones, including 24 shops in shipping containers, 26 food vendors in trucks, as well as 850 shops in canvas tents. There is also a special activity zone for concerts and exhibitions, as well as onsite parking space for up to 200 cars.
Shops range from fashion stores with clothes, shoes and accessories, to leatherwear, jewelry and watches, gift shops with handmade items, souvenirs and home decoration, and even Spa houses, beauty salons and cosmetics shops.
The food stalls and food trucks offer everything from traditional Thai food, such as satay skewers, papaya salad, shrimp skewers & grilled cheesy prawns, pork bone hot pot, freshly shucked oysters & grilled scallops, jelly soda, to Japanese sashimi, Korean Bingsu (shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings) and Western-style Cheese Fries, Ribs & Steaks, and speciality burgers such as Mac + Cheese Burger. There is also a variety of homemade ice creams, popsicles & chocolates, as well as fresh fruit juices & fruit blends.
Talad Neon is open 4 days a week: every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, daily from 4pm until midnight.
