It is a common understanding that pets are part of the family. With that in mind, the iconic Swedish furniture brand Ikea has launched a unique new collection called "Lurvig", which is the Swedish word for "shaggy". The complete collection is exclusively designed for cats and dogs.

The collection features pet beds, sleeping spaces and houses for cats, cat tunnels, scratching mats and scratching posts, eating bowls, a variety of toys, and even a travel bag. The collection was created by "pet loving designers with support from trained veterinarians" with the aim to serve the practical needs of the animals and at the same time satisfy the style demands of their owners.

The products are designed to integrate seamlessly into the Ikea furniture you already have and some of the items are even inspired by existing Ikea products. Part of the collection are scaled-down versions of Ikea's Solsta and Klippan sofas, as well as sleeping spaces for cats which can be used as an insert for Ikea's Kallax shelving units.

The items come at affordable prices, such as 1$ for a flying disc toy, 25$ for the pet travel bag, or 50$ for the "mini-Klippan" pet bed.
