Music festivals can provide you with thrilling experiences and an opportunity to meet new friends. At these events, you’ll likely meet people with mutual musical interests, all while enjoying a one-of-a-kind party ambiance.
During the Songkran festival, S2O Songkran Music Festival was among the events that ended spectacularly. The festival took place on April 13-15 at Live Park, Rama IX.
The 2019 production was even more mind-blowing than last year’s. This time, S2O celebrated its 5th anniversary as one of Bangkok’s biggest music festivals.
We’re sure those who’ve joined had some chances to bond with their best buddies and mingle with some new crowds. After all, that’s the concept of “Let’s BLEND” from one of the event’s main sponsors, BLEND 285 Signature. They believe that a new ‘FRIEND’ starts from something small called ‘HELLO’.
Highlights included a world-class lineup, state-of-the-art production, along with awesome and exciting activities at the event. For those who’ve missed this year’s party, here’s our recap of S2O Songkran Music Festival 2019.
Find out what’s good and what can you expect in S2O’s next installment!
The first thing on our list is all the big-name DJs with their infectious energy and hair-raising sets which everyone enjoyed throughout three days.
Festival-goers went wild on the dance floor with music by Fatboy Slim, Robin Schulz, Cat Dealers, Illusionize, Throttle (April 13) Tiësto, David Gravell, Rave Radio, Netsky, EDX (April 14) Steve Aoki, 1788-L, Said The Sky, Bass Jackers, and 3LAU (April 15).
Their shows were completed by the stunning production - a colossal 26-by-65-meter stage. Wherever you stand in the crowd, you would have no problem catching the dazzling visuals on the giant circular screens.
The light & sound system, as well as the pyrotechnics, were designed to put you in the mood for parties. They brought on some lively vibes a few had experienced before. Each act ended with a literal bang as fireworks exploded in the night sky, illuminating the area with their multi-colored glow.
One of the main attractions of S2O Songkran Music Festival is the non-stop water warfare, which had brought a legion of tourists to the event.
Their water blasting system, S2O Factory, did much more than just spritzing some water from time to time. The system has been intensively developed into the sound-syncing, 360° water cannons it was at the event. Many consider this as one of the festival’s unique features.
There was also the ‘get together’ area - BLEND 285 Signature Pool Of Fun. Everyone was invited to open up and explore the activities packed within the 2-floor, 8-meter-high booth.
For example, you could stretch and have your neck cracked (Ouch!) at the massage station. Which, to be honest, is like telling you to go all out with your stage-side moves.
Then there were sliders where you could snap a shot of you and your pal sliding down into a foam pit. (We saw a constant line of people waiting to get on the thing!)
You could take some group shots at the “Wefie” photo booth and get photos with cute quotes under the concept “Selfie is good, but Wefie is better”. After that, you could share the picture for all your online friends to see.
On the other side was the water ring toss game that let you compete against your new buddies. The prizes included premium goodies from BLEND 285 Signature such as waterproof pouches, goggles, caps, raincoats, and LED wristbands.
But that’s not all. The booth also provided a phone charging station. You could share your moments at S2O for as long as you wanted without having to worry about the batteries.
BLEND 285 Signature wanted everyone to have a great time with their squad. Still, they also provided you with a chance to make new friends with the delightful activities at BLEND 285 Signature Pool Of Fun booth. The concept of “Let’s BLEND” encourages you to open up to new experiences.
For those who missed this year’s celebration, don’t you fret. S2O Songkran Music Festival and BLEND 285 Signature will definitely be back to bring you a wetter and wilder water fight next year.
Get your festival spirit going and keep an eye out for this kind of bang-up events in 2020!
