Genie Records was established 19 years ago as a subsidiary to GMM Records with one goal in mind, and that was to provide a platform for musicians to shine with their skills, irrespective of the way they looked. The label’s mantra has since propelled multiple bands and artists to the forefront of Thailand’s musical landscape and made them superstars in their own right. With a high focus on rock and pop rock, Genie Records has found their sound, and with it continues to deliver more and more energy-filled music to the fans.

Play Icon

And on February 10th, 2018 to celebrate the label’s 19 years of success, Genie Records will be coming together with Chang Music Connection to throw what may well be one of Thailand’s biggest rock music festivals, G19 Fest. The organizers are pulling out all the stops with over 20 different artists converging on what is arguably the biggest concert venue in Thailand - Rajamangala National Stadium. Just like gladiators, these stars will descend upon the arena and showcase the best they have to offer to the fans of rock music.

Greatness is about to be on full display, but before it is, here is a short guide for those who plan to attend G19 Fest so you know what it is that you should be expecting on concert day. Rock on!

Artists

The names of already confirmed artists for G19 Fest include 25 Hours, Bigass, Bodyslam, Cocktail, Instinct, Klear, Kwang AB Normal, Num Kala, Labanoon, Palaphol, Pang Nakharin, Palmy, Paradox, Potato, Pun Basher, Retrospect, Sweet Mullet, The Mousses, The Yers, and Yes'sir Days.

It is without a doubt that those who are making an appearance are what you may call industry heavyweights. The likes of Bodyslam, Paradox, and Potato for example are names that you would associate with classic rock music automatically. These are veterans in the game, but are titans that have yet to fall from grace.

Vibe

Expect to rock out for a full 8 hours straight. G19 Fest goes on from 14:00 all the way to midnight and will be the epicenter of everyone who loves good rock music. Be prepared to immerse yourselves in an expansive crowd worthy of your presence. With the understanding that rockers like enjoy the open space, Genie Records have decided against zoning and have me it a free-for-all standing zone. This will allow for the grandeur of the concerts on stage to really shine through and whether you want to jump around or sit back and relax, there will be room for you to enjoy the festival just the way you want to. Take our word for it, the past G-series concerts were EXPLOSIVE!
