#FindYourJoy at The Bangkok Countdown 2018 with BLEND 285

The Bangkok Countdown (TBC) said “goodbye” to 2017 in style and welcomed 2018 in ways unheard of in Thailand before, between December 30-31 at Live Park (Rama 9). It was a combination of eargasmic music, earth-shattering dance moves, exceptional food, and extravagant fireworks that made the event as special as it was intended to be. The partners behind TBC worked hard to deliver a full-scale festival in what many may consider the hardest time of year to actually put in that work - now that is commitment, and credit is given where credit is due.

Not only did Thailand’s newest landmark countdown event light up the night sky with their no-holds-bar production, but TBC also hand-picked 10 top international DJs for this event. From Afrojack to Knife Party, the crowds were wooed by the sets that each DJ brought. It was a spectacle, to say the least, that left everyone begging for more.

With so many laughs and smiles handed out, enough to last revelers for the rest of the year, the partners behind TBC managed to give Thailand an energetic push into pastures new. The event celebrated life in such a way that ensured that all the attendees of the event were central to the organizers’ planning. There was no stone left unturned to guarantee that the safety and comfort of everyone who came to TBC were never compromised.

BLEND 285, in particular, were vital sponsors and partners of TBC that enabled this people-centric vision for a big night out to come true. They took the opportunity to launch their “Cheewit Dee Raow Mee Dai” or “anyone can have the good life" campaign at the BLEND 285 booth which encouraged everyone to live life to the fullest while enjoying responsibly. The notion that you can still have fun and stay safe is an important belief that 2018 should be earmarked for and BLEND 285 is leading the charge.

The stance taken by BLEND 285 was fitting for such a positive event. Setting up their booth right at the entrance of TBC also gave everyone easy access to the activities and made sure their message of how to live today, for tomorrow (LTFT) was easily digested. Clearly, not only did BLEND 285 make sure that those at TBC had a generously poured bucket to sip from, they were there on a mission. YOLO may be a thing of the past, LTFT is the new in thing that would keep everyone safe and happy moving forward.

To re-live these awesome memories, here is a look back at 4 creative activities BLEND 285 used to enable the good life at TBC. Some things we should definitely take with us into 2018.

Safety First

The rule of thumb for any seasoned festival goer is when you drink, do not drive. But at festivals, it is often the case that driving would have been your most hassle-free option to get to festival grounds and back home due to the lack of other transportation options. It sounds like a dilemma does it not? BLEND 285, in their attempt to ensure that everyone still had their tomorrows ahead of them, not only gave out intoxication tests, but also partnered with Grab, Uber, and U Drink I Drive to offer everyone easier access to a ride option that would get them home safely. Talk about caring.

Communication Is Key

Remember how hard and annoying it was to make a phone call without being able to hear a thing the other side was saying. We remember. So does BLEND 285, because they brought in with them a soundproof phone booth where everyone could jump in and have a proper conversation with whoever they needed to talk to at that moment in time. Looking for that silence so that you can call mom to say goodnight? No problem. The friends you came with cannot find you, and you cannot hear them over the phone? No problem. The BLEND 285 phone booth to the rescue.

Zen Out

When too much dancing leads to too many body aches, it is time for you to find a place to zen it out. BLEND 285 made sure this was just a few steps away as they brought in master masseuses to provide massages to anyone that was looking to take a small break to treat that nagging calf pain. This was surely what the good life was about. The massages offered were extremely relaxing and revitalizing - it made sure that many people were recharged to their fullest capacity to get more dance moves out of them. But that was not all, cold towels, mint inhalers, and cold water were also provided for those lucky enough to get a zen session in between dancing.

The Juice is Loose

Losing all the battery on your phone is the worse thing that can happen to some people. You are there to say bye to 2017, but without your phone you might as well say goodbye to finding your crew, getting girls numbers, or flashing lights when the DJ tells you to put up your phones for a picture. And when the juice in your phone is dying like this, an oasis of power outlets sounds like the only way to go. Good thing BLEND 285 knew exactly that and made sure there were outlets available for anyone to charge their phones. If you think about it, this may be the source of life in the 21st century.

It is not every day that a new trend that benefits the consumer gets championed and promoted to such a scale, but BLEND 285 has done that in awesome fashion. Look out for BLEND 285’s “Cheewit Dee Raow Mee Dai” or “anyone can have the good life” campaign as 2018 rolls on in other events throughout Thailand. This is the year where partying responsibly is the way to go.
