Machu Picchu, a 15th-century Inca citadel located in Peru, remains one of the most popular travel destinations today. Being declared a Peruvian Historical Sanctuary in 1981 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, this famous icon of Inca civilization is one of those places you must see before you die.

The event “U Mystic MachUcan” at Acmen Ekamai Complex this past Saturday, March 24, 2018, was a perfect mixture of the beauty of ancient Inca civilization and the allure of quality Hip-hop and Trap music of the 21st century. For all the events that went down in the middle of Bangkok city, this concert was one to remember. There weren’t just epic performances from some of the best local and international artists, but it was also the unparalleled atmosphere of the event that made the night something to be talked about for years.

Other than the eye-catching yellow tone throughout the event, they also brought to life the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu right in the middle of Bangkok. With a unique set of decors and visuals, it was like we were standing right above the Sacred Valley ourselves. One of the things that stood out the most was the “MysterioUs” zone where you would find the God of the Sun standing tall for revellers to do some selfies and lighting up the party throughout the night.

Standing on either side of the sun god were refreshment booths with beautiful U Beer girls who provided welcoming drinks for everyone to enjoy. The best part was the theatrics of the bartenders who pulled out all the tricks and techniques to create an attractive show for everyone who stood by.

As you start to look around, you’ll notice people wearing a wristband made out of black and yellow feather that gave off a very tribal vibe. To grab hold of one, attendees simply had to take a picture and check into the event “U Mystic MachUcan”, and they’ll officially become part of the “Lost City of the Incas”.

The party started even before the sun went down as DJ Whatdatfrog, the champion of Red Bull 3Style Thailand, took the stage and warmed up the crowd with an hour of non-stop electrifying mixes. He was then joined by DJ TNT and MC Marvinzir who added more flavors to the show as the night fell.

As more people stepped into the venue, it was time for rap duo YB the take the stage with hits like “Morning” and “Gang” for the Hip-hop fans to enjoy. J$R, FIIXD, and Youngohm followed shortly and represented the Rap Is Now crew with the level of energy that was through the roof. They brought with them fan favorites like “Me Tung”, “Choey Moey”, and “Kor Mue” that the crowd sang along to from the start till end.

During the intermission, the crowd was treated to a special dance performance that featured clothing and jewellery of the Inca empire and mystical music that got our hearts pumping with excitement.

DJ Cleo P and MC Master Mind was up next and they gifted the crowd with a high-energy mix of both Thai and international hits. The couple capped things off with Cleo P’s brand-new single “You Ain’t Lit” before handing the stage over to BangBangBang.

Khan Thaitanium and Keezy showed the crowd why they chose the name “BangBangBang” as their performance got the people banging their heads to the powerful beats and jumping up and down with them the entire time. They were then joined by Twopee Southside who didn’t forget to bring the song “YMPL” that featured BangBangBang for an epic live rendition.

The party peaked out when Phase One, an Australian DJ/Producer well known for hits like “Kung Fu”, “Send It”, and “Welcome To Mayhem”, came on and shook the stage with a powerful set that featured heavy bass and elements of Rock music. At this point, the crowd was giving it their all as well. Factor in the exhilarating lighting and visuals, we can most certainly say that it was one of the most epic ways to end the night.
