18 Concerts in and Around Bangkok This November That You Just Can't Miss

We're only 2 months away from the end of the year 2018 and it wouldn't be fitting if we had to step into a brand new year without any form of festivity at all, especially in a lively city such as Bangkok. That is why for the entirety of November, Bangkokians will have a chance to witness all sorts of international and local acts taking turns putting on a performance for all of us to enjoy. Kicking off with the new year spirit early-on, we've got for you 18 concerts in Bangkok happening this November that you just can't miss! Before 2018 becomes all but history, let's go out and make some more memorable moments of happines and joy with your friends and family at one of these concerts on the list.

Sanamluang Music Playtime

For all the fans of Sanamluang Music out there, their annual concert "Sanamluang Music Playtime" is back for the 4th season this 3-4 November at Metro Life Park Rama 9. This 2-day concert not only brings non-stop music from the best of Sanamluang Music, but also a whole load of many other activities for you to enjoy!

Artists on the line-up for Saturday the 3rd includes Lomosonic, Mattnimare, Clockwork Motionless, Daniel Didyasarin, The Ginkz ft. Rap Ake, Last Fight For Finish, and opening acts like Girlfriend For Rent, R-Sorraping, and MC Can Nayika. Sunday the 4th brings us Slur, Max Jenmana, Tabasco, Kordyim, and opening acts like Baba Yaga, Pinx and MC Jan Chan. Aside from the concert, you'll also get to enjoy an outdoor market that presents all kinds eateries as well as popular shops from Instagram so you can enjoy a nice round of shopping whenever you want to take a break from all the music. The best part? This event is free!

P.O.P 20th Anniversary Concert

P.O.P (Period of Party), one of Thailand’s greatest hits maker, will be making a long-awaited comeback for the fans. The band, consisting of Nop Ponchamni, Somkiat Ariyachaipanich, Notapol Srichomkwan, Sasis Milintawanich, and Montien Kaewkamnerd, announced its disbandment back in 2003 with all members going their own separate ways. This Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of November at GMM Live House Central World, however, P.O.P will once again be reunited for its 20th year anniversary with the “P.O.P 20th Anniversary Concert”.

Sadly the tickets for Saturday’s round was already sold out at the time of writing. If you’re interested, you can still join in on the celebration with P.O.P on Sunday November 4, 2018.

FutureFest Music x Art x Culture

FutureFest is a music festival that brings together arts and culture into one place and celebrates the creativity and forward-thinking of all the talented individuals that it brings with. Aside from exciting performances by Jinta, Sriracha Rocker, Solitude is Bliss, Bomb at Track, Polycat, Tontrakul Project, JK Bua and a rap show from KQ & Liberate P, there's also a whole load of activities from the realms of arts and culture for you to enjoy. Take part in talks by experts from Thailand's gaming and music industry who will be giving us a piece of their mind in the "Gamers Talk" and "Music Movement" sessions. Explore an inspirational exhibition called "The Futurist", a special show "Chorika's Mixology", and a modern art exhibition called "No Man's Land". There will also be a special food and drinks zone that will serve up an exclusive craft beer and cocktail menu as well.

This event will take place on Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of November at The Jam Factory. A two-day pass goes for 700 THB and a single day pass goes for 400 THB.

U presents The Switch Vol.2 Concert

Boxx Music and U Beer proudly presents its 2nd edition of “The Switch Concert” that brings together artists from different labels, genres, and generations together for a live jam session on stage. “U presents The Switch Vol.2 Concert” will take place on Sunday November 4, 2018 at Fortune Sky Arena (10th Floor, Fortune Town) from 5 pm onwards.

The innovative concert brings about collaborations by Marc Tatchapon x Mints, EarthPatravee x Whal & Dolph, Poy Portrait x Win Sqweez Animal, Ink Waruntorn x Lipta, and Musketeers x Playground. At the time of writing, tickets are on sale for a promotional price of 399 THB (1 ticket) and 1,000 THB (3 tickets). Singha Light Live Series Vol 3.3 - Cornelius

After giving us a glimpse of his music and talent over 3 occasions in the past, Keigo Oyamada or “Cornelius” will finally be putting on his first full solo performance in Bangkok. Enjoy an evening of experimental and exploratory sounds by the Japanese artist and producer at “Singha Light Live Series Vol 3.3 - Cornelius” on November 7, 2018 at Voice Space.

Keigo had been touted as one of the influential figures of Indie music in Japan. Other than hit songs like Camera! Camera! Camera!, Coffee Milk Crazy (as part of Flipper's Guitar), and Star Fruits Surf Rider, Keigo was also behind the scene for multiple artists, created soundtracks for movies, and performed live alongside the legendary Yellow Magic Orchestra. Phase 1 tickets are up for sale at 2,000 THB with Phase 2 up next at 2,200 THB per ticket.

Mariah Carey Live in Concert

Mariah Carey, one of the world’s greatest singer and songwriter, is back for evening of timeless hits for Thai fans relish with the Mariah Carey Live in Concert on Friday 9 November, 2018 at Bitec Bangna from 20.00 onwards. Mariah Carey is the best-selling female artist of all time with more than 200 million albums sold to date and 18 Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles, more than any solo artist in history. Her greatest hits includes We belong together, All I want for Christmas is you, Touch my body, Hero, Without you, and many more. She’s also a critically acclaimed actress from her roles in films like WiseGirls, Precious (where she was recognized with the Breakthrough Performance Award at the Palm Spring International Film Festival), and The Butler. Blossoms Live in Bangkok

Blossoms, an English Indie-Pop band from Manchester, swiftly rose to fame after its founding back in 2013. Members Tom Ogden, Joe Donavan, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst, and Myes Kellocks will be making their way to Bangkok for their first-ever solo show in Thailand with “Blossoms Live in Bangkok” on Saturday 10 November, 2018 at Voice Space

Known for their signature Psych-Pop sound, the band’s top hits include Charlemagne, Honey Sweet, I Can’t Stand It, and There's a Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls). Blossoms’ self-entitled album was also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2017 as well. Tickets are on sale at 2,300 THB.

Spicydisc HitStory 14 Years in 1 Day Concert

SpicyDisc will be celebrating its 14-year anniversary with a massive concert that will bring together the music label’s very own 22 artists that will take us on a musical journey through SpicyDisc’s 14 years of success from the past to the present. The show starts off with opening acts like Aomsin, Zom Marie, and Pills before moving into different music genres. Pop music will be taken care by Notapol Srichomkwan, La Ong Fong, Wan Thanakrit, Nap A Lean, Save Da Last Piece, and Good September. The Rock genre will be performed by The Rube, Helmetheads, Morning Soon Lullaby and Knock the Knock. There will also be some fresh Electronic acts from Kidnappers and Funky Wah Wah, before heading into the mega hit artists like Sqweez Animal, The Ghost Cat, Groove Riders, Mild, and The Parkinson.

The concert will take place on Saturday 10 November, 2018 at Show DC Oasis Arena. Tickets are available at 999 THB.

Gypsy Bangkok: Echoes from the Mountains

The Music and Lifestyle “Gypsy Carnival” returns for its 3rd edition, taking place at the heart of Bangkok with “Gypsy Bangkok: Echoes from the Mountains”. Inside, you’ll find 2 separate stages including the Immortal Stage that hosts all the Rock and Hip Hop acts like Noi Pru, ModernDog, FLURE, Retrospect, Bomb at Track, Fukking Hero, Two Pee Southside, and UrboyTJ and the Valhalla Stage that will feature DJ Faahsai, Make you Freak, DJ ROXY JUNE, and DJ Henri. Setsuzoku 2018 In Thailand

Setsuzoku has been touted as one of Tokyo's foremost cultural parties. It presents not just music culture, but also blends in arts, fashion, graphics, and many more to develop a new lifestyle and culture in itself. The culture party will make its way to Bangkok’s underground scene with “Setsuzoku 2018 In Thailand” on Saturday 10 November, 2018 at Studio Lam.

At the party, we’ll have a chance to witness a show from DJ Maft Sai who’ve been dubbed as one of the most influential figure in Thailand’s underground music scene. His music brings together genres like Electronics, Look Thung, Mo Lam, Reggae, West African, and Underground music from all around the globe and had been putting on shows in countries like Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, Japan, France, Switzerland, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany and USA. There will also be special performances from Japan’s very own DJ Muro who’s been dubbed as King of Diggin’ and Thailand’s very own The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band. MELANIE C Asia Tour 2018 : Live in Bangkok

British singer and songwriter Melanie C, best known for being one of the five members of Spice Girls, will be putting on her first-ever solo concert in Thailand with MELANIE C Asia Tour 2018 : Live in Bangkok on Sunday 11 November, 2018 at GMM Live House.

Setting off on her solo music career back in 1998 with her debut album “Northern Star” that earned her the #1 spot in Sweden and #4 spot on the UK albums chart. Her second album “Reason” came out in 2003 and sold over 500,000 copies. Melanie then went on to found her own record label “Red Girl Records” in 2004 and had been producing music from the label up until today. Cigarettes After Sex Live in Bangkok

Cigarettes After Sex, a critically acclaimed Ambience Pop band from the United States, will be making their way back to Bangkok for the Thai fans to enjoy once again. Immerse yourselves in their mesmerizing sounds and Greg Gonzalez’s magnificent vocals at the Cigarettes After Sex Live in Bangkok concert on Tuesday 13 November, 2018 at Moonstar Studio.

The band gained massive popularity after the release of their debut EP I. in 2012 with the song “Nothing's Gonna Hurt You Baby”. After the release of their hit single “Affection” in 2015, Cigarettes After Sex released their self-titled studio album on June 2017. Blue Hawaii Live in Bangkok

Blue Hawaii, an Electronic duo from Quebec, Canada consisting of Raphaelle ‘Ra’ Standell and Alexander ‘Agor’ Kerby, will be making their way back to Bangkok. Fans in Thailand will be get to enjoy their Dream Pop, Techno, and Ambient Pop once again. After the release of the studio album “Untogether” in 2013, the band released a mixtape “Agor Edits” in 2014 that skyrocketed them to fame. Blue Hawaii then released the album “Tenderness” in 2017 with hit songs No One Like You, Belong to Myself, Younger Heart, and Searching For You. The concert is set to take place on Friday 16 November, 2018 at Noma BKK. Ticket prices are set at 850 THB.

Maho Rasop Festival

3 of Bangkok’s leading promoters including HAVE YOU HEARD? that focuses in Western Indie music, Seen Scene Space that focuses in Indie band of Asia, and Fungjai that supports Thai Indie artists, joins forces to bring Indie music lovers a one-of-a-kind experience under the name Maho Rasop Festival on 17 November, 2018 from 11.00 to 23.30 at Live Park Rama 9.

The line-up includes 15 top-tier Indie artists from around the globe including The Vaccines, Slowdive, Washed Out, DEAN, Miami Horror, PREP, Sunflower Bean, 大象體操 Elephant Gym, Oddisee and Good Compny, Solitude Is Bliss, rad museum, Wang Wen (惘闻), VACATIONS, Lucie too, Gym and Swim, Hariguem Zaboy, temp., SOLE, and YANIN. Postiljonen Live in Bangkok

Postiljonen, a Dream Pop band from Stockholm, Sweden, was founded in 2011 by Mia Bøe, Joel Nostrum Holm, and Daniel Sjörs. They’ve since released 2 albums, “Skyer” and “Reverie”, along with a remix EP of “All That We Had Is Lost”. Their music takes influence from vintage black and white films in the 80’s and the scenic views of Balearic Islands. The hit songs includes “Atlantis”, “Supreme”, “All That We Had is Lost”, “On the Run”, “We Raise our Hearts”.

VERY Live : Boy Pablo & Phum ViphuritVERY Live : Boy Pablo & Phum Viphurit

The Very Company will be bringing 2 Chillwave rising stars for a full-scale concert in Bangkok with VERY Live : Boy Pablo & Phum Viphurit. Boy Pablo is an Indie Pop artist from Norway best known for his single “Everytime” released in 2017. He then immediately a 6-song EP called “Roy Pablo” followed by a single “Losing You” in March 2018. He recently released his second EP called “Soy Pablo” in October 2018.

On the other hand, Phum Viphurit is a Thai Indie artist that had became popular among Asian fans. He released his debut single “Adore” back in 2014 before releasing his first full studio album in 2017 named “Manchild”. His hit songs includes “Lover Boy” , “Long Gone”, and “Sweet Hurricane”.

The “VERY Live : Boy Pablo & Phum Viphurit” concert will take place on 24 November, 2018 at Moonstar Studio. Tickets are up for sale at 1,800 THB.

Rinma Music Festival 2018

Rinma, a restaurant and bar in Phet Kasem, will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a big concert called “Rinma Music Festival 2018”. Artists on the billing includes Thailand’s top artists like Boom Boom Cash, Lomosonic, Sweet Mullet, The Richman Toy, Greasy Cafe, and I-Boss. The event is set to take place on Friday 30 November 2018 and Saturday 1 December 2018 at Rinma’s event space. Tickets are up for sale at 750 THB. An Evening with Rachael Yamagata

Rachael Yamagata, a New York-based singer and songwriter, best known for her songs “You Won’t Let Me”, “Something in The Rain”, “Be Be Your Love”, and many more. Her alluring vocals and signature music style brought had her making soundtracks for multiple movies and TV series and collaborating with artists like Jason Mraz, Rhett Miller, Mandy Moore, Bright Eyes, Ryan Adams, Dan Wilson, Katherine McPhee, Toots and the Maytals, and Ray Lamontagne.
