Bangkok Tree House (แบงค็อกทรีเฮาส์)

Bangkok Tree House (แบงค็อกทรีเฮาส์)

The box-like rooms are light and airy with high standards of comfort. Regular rooms are en-suite. The most unique sleeping area at the resort, however, is a beautiful open-air platform with excellent views of the river and surroundings. A mosquito next covers the double mattress. Curtains can be drawn around for more privacy, still allowing you to gaze up at the stars before you drift into a peaceful slumber.

Not far from the buzzing city center of Bangkok, there’s a delightful treehouse resort perched on an artificial river island in the province of Samut Prakarn that offers a green retreat among the serenity of nature and a stunning view of the Chao Praya River. Inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s Walden (1854), a book on the reflection upon simple living in natural surroundings, this eco-friendly getaway is all about sustainable living and environmental awareness.

Considered one of the greenest hotels in Thailand, the resort embodies several eco-friendly features that you can experience including using locally-sourced bamboo as a major construction component, a restaurant menu that highlights organic produce grown on the premise, wind and solar-powered lights, and upcycling of discarded materials.

All of the “nests” available at the Bangkok Tree House will bring you closer to nature and offer a stunning bird’s eye view of the river and greenery of the premise. We’d like to highlight the outdoor accommodation called “View with a Room” where you can sleep under the stars perched 7 meters up in the air with nothing but the sky as your ceiling and the mangrove palm trees as your walls. You’ll also be connected to your complimentary “Tree Top Nest” room for your convenience.
