Snow Patrol, a Scotch-Irish alternative rock band from the ‘90s, is returning to Bangkok after 12 years and bringing with them a bunch of fan-favorite hits. Prepare to be whisked away on a musical voyage; the band’s first full-scale concert in Thailand, Snow Patrol Acoustic Live In Bangkok, is happening this August 27 (Tue) at Moonstar Studio 8.

Throughout 25 years, Snow Patrol’s accomplishments are the fruits of the labor of its members: Gary Lightbody, Jonny Quinn, Nathan Connolly, Paul Wilson, and Johnny McDaid. (And also three former members: Tom Simpson, Mark McClelland, and Michael Morrison.) Their discography includes eight top-notch studio albums and dozens of singles.

Snow Patrol received worldwide recognition when they released Final Straw in 2003. The highly successful album saw much praise and attention. For example, it was certified by the IFPI Platinum Europe Award as 1 and 2 million albums sold across Europe, won Best Songwriting at Ivor Novello Awards & Best Irish Album at Meteor Music Awards, and was gold-certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Then, in 2006, the brit rock band released Eyes Open with over 6 million copies sold. The album includes the all-time hit, Chasing Cars, which has since gained over 213 million views on YouTube, 475 million plays on Spotify, and became the most played song on the British radio in the 21st century.

Suffice to say, the track paved the way for Snow Patrol to go on and win several other awards.

From that height of their artistic career, the band continues to release record after record for their fans. However, they did take a seven-year hiatus before returning in 2018 with the eighth album, Wildness. We believe many were excited for fresh tracks like Life On Earth, Don’t Give In, and Empress.

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Snow Patrol releases Time Won’t Go Slowly - a part of the band’s major upcoming project.

So before you enjoy the real acoustic experience at Snow Patrol Acoustic Live in Bangkok, just sing your heart out to these 13 essential tracks on Siam2nite’s playlist!
