20 Wiz Khalifa Tracks to Get You Hyped for His Bangkok Show

Known for his smooth hip-hop beats and sound, Wiz Khalifa, a.k.a. Cameron Jibril Thomaz, has written rhymes on love, thug life, marijuana, fame, and wealth. The American rapper is coming to our city with his first Thailand concert - Wiz Khalifa Live in Bangkok - this September 11 (Wed) at GMM Live House.

Ever since his debut in 2005, Khalifa has always been a prolific artist. So far, he has released 11 studio albums as well as over 50 works including mixtapes, singles, EPs. The rapper also often appears in movies and TV series.

Although as many as 35 of Khalifa’s most successful works were ranked on Billboard Hot 100, most would agree that “Black And Yellow” was the track that jump-started his career. The song came from his third studio album Rolling Papers (2010) and rose to the top of the Billboard chart in only five months after its release.

Then in 2011, Khalifa released Mac And Devin Go To High School, produced in collaboration with Snoop Dogg. One of the tracks, “Young, Wild and Free”, featured Bruno Mars; it stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for a staggering 32 weeks / eight months and has gained over 477 million views on YouTube.

The rapper has also produced and been featured on many other hits - “Payphone”, “No Sleep”, “23”, “Roll Up”, “We Own It”, and “We Dem Boyz”, to name a few.

Plus, we can’t end this article without mentioning one of his classics. “See You Again” was written by Khalifa as a soundtrack for Furious 7 (2015) and a tribute to one of the franchise's main casts, Paul Walker, who died in a car accident. The song featured Charlie Puth, who did a phenomenal job bringing the lyrics and the thoughts behind them to life.

Some of the success of “See You Again” includes being the third most viewed video on YouTube at 4.1 billion views, holding the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks, and staying for a total of one year on the same chart.

The track has also received numerous awards such as Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and ASCAP Pop Music Awards.
