Thailand has long established itself as a frontrunner for electronic music in the Asian region. This 2018, the announcements of music festivals, both new and returning, have begun to fill the calendars of music enthusiasts far and wide. As the second part of our series of articles, here are our top picks for events happening between April and May that are not to be missed.

Zummerbeach Festival | Pattaya

Held from midday to midnight on the 6th and 7th of April, ZummerBeach Festival combines two days of trance and trap on the Pinnacle Grand Jomtien in Pattaya. The first time event is organized by Zaap Party and Bacardi and will feature two stages! The lineup includes trance acts Pure NRG, Blastoyz, Chris Schweizer, Jerome Isma-Ae and Marc Vedo on the first day, and a Barong Family showcase with label artists Cesqeaux, Mike Cervello, The Galaxy and Dolf on the second day.

Tickets are now on sale at 2,500 THB for a two-day pass and 1,500 THB for a one day pass. Hotel packages are also available for purchase ranging from 4,000 to 9,000 THB.

Pepsi Presents S2O

Following its debut in 2014, S2O has become one of the most highly anticipated events each year with past revellers leaving the show in high spirits and promising to return for the next. This year’s edition will be held across three days on the 13th to 15th of April 2018 at Live Park Rama 9 in Bangkok. Attendees are guaranteed a large scale production show, complete with a towering stage and numerous water cannons. Acts on the billing include DJ Snake, Oliver Heldens and Krewella as headliners along with Ookay, Sick Individuals, Vintage Culture and Tchami.

Tickets are selling fast at 2,000 THB per respective day for general admission and have completely sold out for VIP and VIP Plus.

Songkranzonic

The all-new Songkranzonic has recently been announced as the brainchild of the creators behind Waterzonic. Held simultaneously during Songkran on the 12th to 15th of April, the 4-day event will be staged at the Oasis Arena at Show DC in Bangkok. The lineup features multiple genres, from trap to house to hardstyle and even dubstep. Headliners include DVBBS, Borgeous, Brennan Heart, Excision, Moksi, Frontliner and Julian Jordan. Prepare to get soaked by the many water cannons on site!

Tickets are currently on sale at 3,100 THB for four days or 1,300 THB for a one-day general admission pass. VIP tickets are 5,200 and 2,200 THB respectively.

It's A Trap

Another first-timer on the list, It’s A Trap debuts their first edition this upcoming 27th of April at the GMM Live House at Central World Bangkok. The festival takes after a survival theme with “biohazard” and “zombie” influences. Promising bass enthusiasts a one of a kind experience, the festival ensures an all-round trap, bass and dubstep only lineup. Dirtyphonics, Barely Alive and Virtual Riot are the first three acts that have been announced as part of the lineup, with more names to be released soon.

Tickets are currently on sale at 1,500 THB for general admission and 1,800 THB for VIP.

Together Festival

Together Festival is one of the longest-running events in Thailand with successful editions year after year, with 2017’s billing including Martin Garret, Armin van Buuren and Axwell Ingrosso. Their 8th annual festival invites Alan Walker, Hardwell, Carnage, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, GTA, the return of Marshmello, and many more that have yet to be announced. The two-day event will be held on the 4th and 5th of May at BITEC Convention Center in Bangkok.

Tickets are currently on sale at 2,895 THB for 2-day general admission passes and 17,091 THB for a 6-person group bundle.

UnKonscious | Phuket

Last but not least on our list is Unkonscious Festival. Dubbed as Asia’s biggest trance festival by the beach, Unkonscious features three trance label showcases - Pure Trance, Grotesque and In Trance We Trust. Acts who have been announced include Menno de Jong, Code Blue, Adam Ellis, Solarstone and Darren Porter. The event will be held on the 4th to 7th of May 2018 on the private “Paradise” beach in Phuket, allowing for utmost exclusivity and serenity for the attendees to experience.

Tickets are currently on sale at 4,200 THB for three days and 1,800 THB for a one-day general admission pass. Hotel packages and Phuket activity bundles including island boat tours are also available for purchase.
