Need For Speed: Go-Karting and Racing Circuits In and Around Bangkok

Need For Speed: Go-Karting and Racing Circuits In and Around Bangkok

Bangkok consistently gets voted to be one of the best tourist destinations in the world. Year in year out, the City of Angels is able to brush aside some worthy challengers and capture the hearts of its visitors to rise to the top consistently. Tourists from all over the world tend to fall in love with the Thai people, Thai food, and the simple pleasures that can be derived from Thai culture itself.

However, Bangkok is also notoriously known for a few other things, with traffic definitely high up on that list. Bangkok traffic is what makes traveling around Bangkok a pain at times, especially when it rains.

Regardless of the type of car that is being driven, be it a minivan that tops off at 120-kilometers per hour or a 30 million Baht sports car - in Bangkok traffic, they all travel at the same turtle speed.

This is not only problematic for your daily commute which tends to take longer than usual, but it is also a problem for the speed demons that love to rev up their engines and feel the adrenaline rush. If the Bangkok streets cannot satisfy those speed cravings, then what is one to do?

Bangkok, for all its shortcomings always has the perfect solution. Strategically littered around the city are some excellent world-class race tracks that any speed-lover can test their skills on.

For the everyday fun-run, you have your go-kart tracks that offer anyone with decent motor skills the ability to cruise around traffic free.

Of course, if you pros want to step up your game a little further, a few driving schools also offer some once in a lifetime driving lessons in larger cars that may not remind you so much of Mario Kart. It is definitely not for the faint of heart, but it will be an experience that will last.

We have compiled a list of these tracks for all the speed demons to go and check out. Whether it is just for fun, or you plan to take driving more seriously, just play safe, play fair, and do not forget your helmets!
