Get ready for Bangkok Bar Show 2019 with cocktails and spirits from all corners of the world. To introduce their best products, beverage brands are setting up tasting booths where you can try and taste a myriad of cocktails and drinks.
We’ll let you in on a secret; some of the items at Bangkok Bar Show 2019 are super exclusive. So much so, in fact, that you might have never seen or tasted them before.
At their booths, the brand will showcase the finest of their alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) options. The names include international brands, like Absolut, Duvel, Four Pillars, and Hendrick’s, as well as local gems such as Issan Rum, Chalong Bay, and Phraya.
On a more academic note, you can join the discussions on drinking culture and learn from various gurus from the bar industry. There are also seminars and master classes moderated by globally leading experts.
One such seminar is “ATLAS: The Art of Martini” by ATLAS’s very own Jesse Vida. The iconic Singaporean speakeasy is ranked #5 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars and #8 on The World’s 50 Best Bars as of 2019.
“The World of Foraging” is also a noteworthy one. The session is led by Matt Whiley from Scout - a London minimalist bar ranked #28 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2019.
For its debut, Bangkok Bar Show will be hosted at LHONG 1919. This cultural attraction is located in Khlong San on the side of the Chao Phraya River. The venue’s incredibly preserved art carries the rich history of its Sino-Siamese heritage.
Among other things, LHONG 1919 houses the Mazu Shrine, an event hall, a courtyard, a co-working space, a port, and various shops & restaurants.
There are multiple ways to get there. If you’re driving, LHONG 1919 offers plenty of parking spaces. If you’re coming by boat, take the ferry crossing from Si Phraya Pier to Khlong San Pier. Finally, from BTS Krung Thonburi, you need to take the bus a bit further to reach the complex.
Bangkok Bar Show 2019 is happening on June 29-30 between 11.00 - 18.00 at LHONG 1919. Tickets are currently available for 200 THB (on Potioneer) and 300 THB (at the entrance) and include a complimentary drink from selected brands.
