With each being a reasonable driving distance away from Bangkok city and provides a complete change of scenery, these unique weekenders make for a perfect getaway opportunity.

Zummerbeach Festival | Pattaya

If you’re into dancing the night away by the sea side, this one’s for you!

Held from midday to midnight on the 6th and 7th of April, ZummerBeach Festival combines two days of trance and trap on the Pinnacle Grand Jomtien in Pattaya. The first time event is organized by Zaap Party and Bacardi and will feature two stages! The lineup includes trance acts Pure NRG, Blastoyz, Chris Schweizer, Jerome Isma-Ae and Marc Vedo on the first day, and a Barong Family showcase with label artists Cesqeaux, Mike Cervello, The Galaxy and Dolf on the second day.

Tickets are now on sale at 2,500 THB for a two day pass and 1,500 THB for a one day pass. Hotel packages are also available for purchase ranging from 4,000 to 9,000 THB.

Vana Nava Songkran | Hua Hin

If you’re an adrenaline seeking junkie who’s into water parks and Amsterdam trap duo Yellow Claw, this one’s for you!

Popular waterpark Vana Nava in Hua Hin is hosting a Songkran water bonanza featuring Apster, Justin Mylo and Yellow Claw as the headliner. The event will be held on the 12th of April right on site at the park. Vana Nava are known for their 19 attractions and thrilling water rides such as the Freefall slide that takes guests up to 18 meters high – then drops them vertically at up to 50km/h. Spend the first day of the Songkran holidays with your friends on an exciting day out!

Samed Songkran Festival | Koh Samed

If you enjoy the islands, boat rides and techno, this one’s for you!

Just a mere 2.5 hour drive away from Bangkok, Koh Samed’s very own Bar and Bed are hosting the second annual Samed Songkran Hideaway. The venue has their own private beach, swimming pool, water fountain dance floor - need we say more? A selection of DJs such as ADVA, JamieJames, Rafael Monsoon, Roulio Aittoures and Will Tonic will be spinning tunes of house and techno all night long. What better way to spend the weekend than with a delightful BBQ and sunset cocktails by the seaside!

Bangsaen Water Festival | Chonburi

If you’re into a water extravaganza with stellar performances, this one’s for you!

Only a mere one hour car ride from Bangkok, Bangsaen Water Festival returns for their annual Chonburi fiesta during Songkran celebrations. Known for having exciting foam parties, this year’s event runs from the 15th to the 17th of April in Bangsaen. The festival has curated a lineup with a wide range of performers, perfect for music enthusiasts of all genres to enjoy! Acts on the billing include Paper Mache, The Mousses, Big Ass, Mild, Boy Peacemaker and PomPam.

Khanom Songkran Market | Khanom

If you’re a food enthusiast who’s into trying out something new, this one’s for you!

The event Khanom Songkran Market on the 14th of April goes from 4PM to 11PM and features a performance by fan favorite band Polycat. What makes the event so special is the theme of having attendees dress up in traditional Thai clothing as part of the fun! The food and drinks market is indeed the highlight of the event, with a wide selection of stalls set up along the beachside for guests to try out.

Tickets are currently on sale for 300 THB each and are available for purchase at the Khanom Tourism Association or Summer Beach Shop.

Wan Chan Bok Ruk Ther | Petchaburi

If you enjoy whole rounded festivals with all sorts of activities, this one’s for you!

Wan Chan Bok Ruk Ther in Petchaburi combines the theme of music, art, food and crafts together to create one large immersive event. Attendees are able to try their hand at the many activities, or indulge in the food markets on site before enjoying the live performances by popular Thai acts. Held on the 28th and 29th of April, Wan Chan Bok Ruk Ther features Tattoo Colour, Playground, Pause and Jetset’er on the first day, and Polycat, Buddha Bless, The Parkinson and Season Five on the second.

Tickets are currently selling fast at 399 THB for an admission of one and 600 THB for a bundle of two passes.

UnKonscious | Phuket

If you’re into trance music, serenity and perfect weather, this one’s for you!

Different to the other destinations on our list, driving there would be too far, but Phuket is a just plane ride away. Without a doubt, the trip will be worth the travel time. Dubbed as Asia’s biggest trance festival by the beach, Unkonscious features three trance label showcases - Pure Trance, Grotesque and In Trance We Trust. Acts who have been announced include Menno de Jong, Code Blue, Adam Ellis, Solarstone and Darren Porter. The event will be held on the 4th to 7th of May 2018 on the private “Paradise” beach in Phuket, allowing for utmost exclusivity and serenity for the attendees to experience.

Tickets are currently on sale at 4,200 THB for three days and 1,800 THB for a one-day general admission pass. Hotel packages and Phuket activity bundles including island boat tours are also available for purchase.

Limited to only a capacity of 300 people, Jump Up and Ubeer invites guests to the fourth edition of the “Escape To The Wave” series - this time on a brand new boat for one thrilling party!
