Long Table Celebrates Its 10 Years Anniversary in Bangkok With an Exclusive Party
It's been a decade since Long Table, an upscale Thai Fusion restaurant and bar atop the 25th floor of the Column Bangkok Hotel, had been serving us one of the best dining experiences in the city. The iconic 25-meters long table had seen countless special moments throughout the past 10 years with Long Table's very own "X Marks The Spot" being one of the most memorable yet. The restaurant celebrated its 10 years anniversary recently on May 24, 2018, and it was a magical night, to say the least.
The night started off with the much-anticipated dinner course that left everyone speechless at the end. The meal featured Shrimp Tom Yum and Thai-style Crispy Shrimp Salad for starters, an option for Wagyu steak or Sea Bass as the main dish, and a selection of wine that complemented the flavors perfectly.
The 10 years anniversary party featured a mix between international hits and upbeat electronic music by DJ Ome, filling the air with a groovy vibe from the start. On your way in you'll be formally greeted by beauties in stunning golden traditional Thai costumes at the door. As you make your way inside and start to get into the party mood, you'll find a bodypaint booth that was an absolute hit with both the attendees and staffs that are looking to spice things up on their body for the night.
The rest of the open space was occupied by the beverage booths, serving up popular beers, cocktails, and mocktails. We were overly impressed with the special cocktails that featured premium scotch whiskey in the mix like the "New York" that contains touches of syrup, lime, and red wine and "On the Beach" the perfectly blended the flavors of almond syrup, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lime into the whiskey. As for the food, there was a selection of bite-sized treats such as chicken skewers, mini burgers, french fries, and bacon-wrapped veggies up for grabs. The guest was also treated with a stunning view of Bangkok's night lights from up high, making this experience truly one-of-a-kind.
It was then time for the live band to take the stage for the night and Analog gave us a full hour of delight. Other than the colorful Pop, Rock, and Disco of the 70s and 80s, the band also performed modern day hits of artists like Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Oasis that got the crowd to sing along throughout the show.
The event then welcomed a special dance performance from over 10 dancers dressed in beautiful contemporary Thai costumes. It was then the turn of DJ ONO with his signature mixes of Hip-hip sounds from the 2000s and a high-energy entertainer like UNDA to as the highlight of the night. Everybody joined in on the dancefloor and partied through the night before the event capped things off with another memorable performance from Analog.
X Marks the Spot was a fitting 10 years anniversary celebration for Long Table as it was joined by numerous VIPs, celebrities, and the press, adding even more to the festivity of the event. Taking into account sublime performances from the two DJs and the live band, the event will be one that will be talked about for years to come.
